Creative At Home Inc. is the world's largest manufacturer of pre-finished Alder flooring under the label of Antique Impressions. As one of Canada's fastest growing companies, Creative At Home puts quality above all else — quality of product line, quality of service, quality of relationships and quality of life.

Creative At Home Inc. created the Antique Impressions Collection of Alder hardwood flooring just over 6 short years ago, as a response to the renewed interest in natural and authentic wood flooring. Recognizing the beauty of character Western Red Alder and having a dedication to quality, the flooring line was launched historic colours. The Antique Impressions Collection was an instant success because of traditional hand craft methods and the special long lengths and wide widths. Increased demand for Antique Impressions Alder flooring products meant the addition of wider planks, matching transition, stair nosings and trims, and engineered flooring to the collection. The most dramatic additions to this product line were the introduction of our Knotty Alder Door Collection in 2005, and the Chateau Plank Collection in 2006. Soon enough, Creative At Home was the largest pre-finished Alder flooring manufacturer in the world!

With this great success, Creative At Home Inc. was able to consolidate all its production under one roof in Jia Shan, Shanghai, China at the beginning of 2007. This allowed Creative At Home to perfect their manufacturing processes, using the most sustainable methods available, to make world-class products which last for generations. It has also opened up an extended product line including the Estate Plank Collection of very wide plank White Oak, American Hickory, Black Walnut, and a Dan River Reclaimed Heart Pine Collection. A close relationship with an exclusive dealer network means that Creative At Home is able to respond very quickly to produce custom products as desired by our more discerning clientele.

Starting with all FSC and SFI certified North American lumber, every effort is made to maximize precious raw materials. Product lines expose the beauty of natural wide plank wood character while using all lumber from a tree, not just the clear parts. Engineered wood flooring not only improves the stability of the wide planks, but adds to the volume of flooring produced by using prime material for the re-sandable top-layer only. This helps to offset the destruction of the world’s valuable forest resources and make our plant a “zero-waste” facility. Future plans include adding solar panels and generating our own power.
